Join our Director Andy Marlow for a free tour of a retrofit project under construction
at Fairfield, NSW at 2pm on Saturday 31 August.
The home has been stripped back to the bones, wrapped, clad and is in the
process of being insulated and fitted out for its next 60 years.
The home is utilising all of the passivhaus principles (air tightness, appropriate
insulation, minimising thermal bridges, great glazing/shading and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery).
The home is yet to undergo its first blower door test but is close! The MVHR is on site and the ducting in place.
The home will be all electric (as always) and once decked out with solar photovoltaics
will be producing more energy in a year than it uses.
