Enerphit project WINS GreenSmart award

A huge congratulations to Nick from Sowden Building Solutions who has won the national 2024 HIA Australian GreenSmart Renovation/Addition Project award.
This project is really special to Nick as it was a renovation for his own family home which has now become a certified Enerphit (passivhaus renovation). What an amazing achievement and something he will be able to enjoy with his family.
The project entailed multiple technical challenges in resolving key construction details involving existing brickwork, concrete slabs and steel structure. As a semi-detached home we also had to work with an adjoining neighbour and the party wall with its fire rating requirements; fun!
We were honoured to be part of this project as the Passivhaus consultants and working alongside Tracy from Connected Design.
